Crazy video, and perfect speed to drink it all in! It almost looked like a simulation at times, like an animated rendering!

Look closely at that Toronto video, you can see the Jones Ave. Adult Centre School on fire (May 6th).

It appears on the left of the screen as the video starts.

Fab video thx. Wish we could have hovered a moment over the extraordinary Don River + other portlands mega changes underway ... silent but mind boggling.. engineering/construction hall of fame one day.

The eastern section of the harbourfront is beginning to look spectacular. The prospect of what the continuing transformation is going to produce is tantalizing.

Agree. Makes me realize how much, when you're looking east just before the Ville-Marie tunnel on A720 (Near YUL), there is a big part of the skyline that is already behind you !

I wrote that forgetting that that's precisely the part of the harbourfront where Google is hoping to conduct its potentially dystopian experiment in building an internet city.

So while it may look awesome, it might end up being an inorganic commercially-driven nightmare where borg-like creatures man surveillance systems that suck every last bit of data out of you.

^ Beautiful shot. What is the low-slung structure with the wavy roofline towards the right of the picture?

Trades building at SAIT. Just finished my apprenticeship in there in April. Used to be a parkade.

Don't ask people not to debate a topic. Just stop making debatable assertions. Problem solved.
