Sorry to sound dumb, but what townhomes are you referring to near Krog?

The deletion is interesting. Good thing I read it before he did.

Yes, I can. That explains it. I misinterpreted what you wrote to mean a townhome complex ALREADY built. Sorry.

Feels like it’s moving along. Crews were soil core drilling again today. The QCR for the parking garage and foundation is in process.

He was hinting there ws a big new attraction coming to Midtown near the area where the Norfolk Southern HQs and new student tower is going. He sort of pieced it together from little hints developers would provide(like the Student housing developer saying they could get higher quality retail than other student housing highrises in Midtown). There was also something from Invest Atlanta I think saying '500 new jobs for a new attraction'.

He also thought 575 million for a 700k sq ft tower is way over budget and it's possible the new attraction could be going into the Norfolk Southern HQs.

Also he was mentioning Dan Cathy of Chik Fil A wanting to add a cap to the interstate. Do you remember this: https://www.bisnow.com/atlanta/news/...terstate-92473 . There's gotta be a reason why all of a sudden he and other business leaders want this cap.

Basically, every little thing seems to be adding up that there could be something big on the Horizon for that part of Midtown.

Attraction obviously being a tourist attraction ofc just to make it clear. It sounds plausible IMO. I could see them building out a Railroad Museum here, especially considering how big the railroad was and still is in Atlanta.

Thanks...I thought I saw a post like that earlier this evening but then it went away. It's interesting because I think I remember a transportation museum with a significant emphasis on trains being proposed for the Centennial Park area before the 2008 recession. It was mentioned once in the ATL Business Chronicle I believe and then never came up again. A transportation museum would be very Atlanta. The city was founded, built and grew on transportation, either on the ground or in the air.

I would also add that hint at potential redevelopment of the garage across from the Standard that was mentioned by the developers of the 3rd and Spring St student housing project.

Why was that pic of 1105 posted; anything new? Also, the Modera Buckhead tower is so unattractive, and the Hanover Midtown development’s three story extension to peachtree seems like a waste of land. That area could have been better used for another tower. It looks really awkward to me, IMO.

1105 was just a posting from a MAC and IoT meeting the past week.

I agree about Hanover midtown’s office component. A bit disjointed.

Heard a rumor that Bill Hagood finally heard a price he couldn't refuse. Can anyone corroborate?

The "attraction" language was concerning Portman's 712 West Peachtree project, one block north of Ponce & 3rd. When it was speculated that this is where Starbucks was going, I thought it was an odd description for an operations center. Now I'm really interested to learn what this is all about.
