I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Winnipeg is a greatly underrated city. What it lacks in height, it more than makes up for in character. Those last few shots are proof.

Are the existing tracks built far enough apart for support columns? When the LIRR rebuilt its yard in the 80’s/90’s, it provisioned enough space to build supports. Even so, the cast of the Hudson Yards platform was well into the billions.

It will become a park. By the time it turns into a concrete plan Toronto will be so desperate for green space that it will have no choice but to turn all of it into park. I suspect once its done we'll see the same thing built to the east of Union Station.
