Quite possibly the ugliest view of downtown Calgary, featuring the ocean of parking lots that is the east side of our downtown. However, with the success of the East Village, and the recent approval of the BMO Convention Centre and movement on the arena - both in Stampede Park - I can't help but see the enormous amount of potential that this space has, given how throughly the CMLC is planning it out. #5amnosleepthoughts

This photo gives us the illusion that Vermont is to the southwest. You can see Mount Mansfield (121 km away in Vermont) just to the left of 1000 de La Gauchetière. To the right is Camels Hump (142 km) also in Vermont.
