the frame for the scoop-outs look unnecessarily deep - why do they project beyond the building so much? They shouldn't need to be any deeper than the deepest pre-cast panel, no?

Yes, there's a bit of difference between this rendering (from ~4.5 years ago) and what we see today.

They do project a lot.
I don't think those are the thickest precast segmnents that will abutt the arch though.

These frames do not look like finished product. I suspect what we're seeing are forms that will help install the final finish, and these will then be removed. This is very much a work in progress. We shall wait and see.

They look like the final product to me. They're heavily wrapped and protected, but you can see they're unwrapped where they're attached to the mounting brackets.

Agreed, the arch on the right of the first pic looks finished.

2 weeks later finally pouring for Building Core and columns on the 30th floor. Unfortunately they're still unable to get the boom working today.
Did the bucket thing from 10am to 7pm. I don't think they're close to finishing. It takes them 7 hours or so with the concrete placing boom.

Slightly off-topic but what is taking the restoration of the Washington Court Apts (foreground) so long?

Arch material is white painted steel and the black wrap is for protection only, when removed considered finished.

It’s not having anything done to it currently. It’s just sitting empty

I believe they were interested in redeveloping/doing some kind of heritage restoration/expansion. No idea what the status is.

The city wanted to add it to the Heritage Registry but I don't think they announced any redevelopment plans for it.

I under estimated the efficiency of slinging 2 buckets for nearly 10 hours, they got the pour all done yesterday.

The last table flown for the 31st floor this afternoon.

The floorplate is slowly coming into full view.

The glass looks to be great quality, very little warping in the reflections and limited iron content.

I would say the final height will be very close to the crane tips right now.
