I thought the intent was to put in the full foundation and then work on the towers individually.

I thought someone posted on this thread that their plan was to build both towers at same time using two cranes. Which would make total logistical sense as the underground levels and podium are all one building. Might still be the plan but as of now they are only focused on the south tower foundation and have done no work on the north side of pit in months.

Yep, I recall the Facebook post that was referenced on page 1 of this thread. There is also a comment on that page about Bernie wanting it done in 2021 for 2022 occupancy. I remain skeptical at that lol

L3 posts now being setup with steel rebar. Still no L3 wall work. Should see forming for the posts and concrete pours next week.

L3 posts steel rebar continues. Not alot has been formed so don't expect to see any concrete pours before the long weekend. Have excavated the pit further north about 30 feet to allow for concrete footings to be poured. Definitely focused on the south tower at this time.

Old Oak has applied to amend the plan to allow the demolition of the law office house on Dufferin Ave.

This totally makes sense as the plan to build under and into the house and retain it must have been a engineers nightmare and stupid expensive. Amendment would see the office facade rebuilt along Dufferin. Also changing the plan for the Camden Terrace facade from being inside the 10 story building to being rebuilt on the exterior. Assuming this is approved should see the old law office house taken down and the pit excavated to the full lot size. Might even make up for the loss of the 4th level of underground parking due to ground water issues.

Have started lining the caisson wall along south side of pit for steel rebar and eventual L3 wall forming and pours. No work happening on site today due to morning rain no doubt.

Slowly making progress on the footings with most now poured. Some of the L3 posts have also been poured as well. No exterior pit wall steel rebar yet or forming. Not sure when their amendments will be heard by City Hall to demolish the law office house and change the design for the Camden Terrace facade along Talbot St.

Very slow progress with only a couple of L3 posts formed this week. No progress on the pit wall forming. CF must be resource limited with crews still working on Old Oaks Hyde Park tower 3 and the second Mosaik building on Sugarcreek.

The sub wall along south side of pit has now been poured. Sump pump chamber roofs have also been poured now. Should see the west and east sub walls poured in the next few weeks and then the L3 level floor slab pour. This is only under the south tower as no work has happened on the north side of pit. Likely still waiting on city hall for the application amendments to pass and demolition permit for the old law off house on Dufferin Ave. Will be Spring before we see serious activity on the north tower foundation. Timing will probably work out as CF will be completing the third tower up at Hyde Park by Spring and the resources can be deployed to Centro for the next 2 years of construction.

Not much progress on the L3 perimeter walls with no concrete pours as of yet. A couple more L3 posts have been formed. Very slow progress with a couple of workers onsite.

Have now poured the pit walls at the L3 level in SW corner and south end of pit. Would expect to see L3 floor slab poured soon so posts and forming can start for the L2 level. Progress is very slow on this site and it appears based on the City road plan that they expect the portion of Talbot street to be restricted now until August of 2023. Given the delays this sounds about right. Drewlo's,York and Ayerswood buildings will be long finished before Old Oaks has these buildings renting.

Grading the basement floor and prepping for slab pour along the south wall. Have now poured the south end L3 walls and installed the grates for the floor drainage along the south end. Should see the slab poured by end of next week.

L3 floor slab has now been poured under the south tower. Have now started the jack posts and forming for the L2 slab. No steel rebar as of yet for L2 slab. Still no activity with Dufferin Ave law office demolition. Must not have received the permit from City yet.

So it's a press release of a list the only-Victorian-era-buildings-no-more-than-3-stories-please people put together in someone's Victorian living room to simply boost their own sense of self-importance.

Maybe the PWE gatehouse is viable to save if they pony up the cash and buy it. The Ann St one I actually don't have much of an opinion on. But these people are nutso trying to mess with an under construction 700 unit project with what, $170 million of Trudeau Money in it, while there is an actual housing supply crisis.

The previous developer Rygar had planned to incorporate the Dufferin Ave law office into the podium base of the north tower. They also had a plan to rebuild the Camden Terrace facade in the lobby of the Talbot St facing podium. They also were proposing 5 levels of underground parking. After Old Oak bought the property they made some changes like increasing the height of the south tower to 40s from 38s. The parking was change to 3 levels of underground due to ground water issues. They have held off digging the north end of pit when they looked at the house and the engineering costs of saving it and undercutting the foundation to build underground parking and support the 29s building. Sane minds realise that it is better to demolish it and excavate out the full pit. Rebuild the facade of the house into the new podium. Common sense prevails. Let's see if City Hall has any and approves the amended plan. The amendments were submitted months ago and City Hall has not approved or even discussed them yet to my knowledge.
