Making good progress recently. Have finished the L1 slab pours along east side of pit. Have poured some of the L1 walls in the SE corner now. Have some of the L1 walls poured now on the NW side of pit. Have poured the L1 slab around the elevator core for the north tower. Have now excavated out the dirt ramp in the SW corner. Should see footings being prepared for the SW corner soon.
Most activity has now been in the SW corner forming and pouring the footings and L2 walls and posts. Assume they are trying to complete the L2 level and get the L1 slab completed for the entire footprint.
Hard to get a good angle from the ground, I really should get a drone lol. First pic is from the Colborne/Nelson intersection, the other 2 are from in front on South St.
Looks like they have completed the L2 walls and posts in the SW corner now. Should see forming for the L1 slab in that corner starting next which when poured will complete the L1 slab for the entire site. L1 wall forming on the east wall continues gradually. Forming for the ground floor slab across the north side also moving along with the NW corner ground floor slab now poured. They might just be able to complete the entire ground floor slab before the Christmas break.
Looks like the L1 slab is now poured in the SW corner. Forming for L1 walls and posts in that corner now starting. Also have steel rebar up for 1st floor walls and posts under both the south and north towers. Should see forming this week and possible first above ground concrete pours.
Looks like they were pouring a section of ground floor slab just to the west of the south tower. Slowly making progress with steel rebar for ground floor walls and posts under both towers.
Today they had an excavator and dump trucks moving the big pile of dirt from west corner over to the east wall to backfill the soil between the new building and the heritage building. Making good progress with ground floor walls and posts under both the north and south towers.
Making steady progress with forming and pouring the ground floor walls and posts. Have started setting up jack posts for the 2nd floor slab forming in the SE corner of the south tower.
Big concrete pour today with the pour of the 2nd floor slab for the south tower. They are now setting up the forming for the 2nd floor slab for the north tower. And wrapping up the 1st floor posts and walls in the SW corner.
Have now poured the 2nd floor slab around elevator shaft core of the north tower now. Have steel for 2nd floor walls started for north tower as well. South tower has 2nd floor walls poured around the core. Still alot of forming left to do for 2nd floor slab between the two towers.
Have made good progress setting up forming for the 3rd floor slab in the SE corner of the south tower. Still forming 2nd floor walls and posts in the SW corner.
Forming for 3rd floor slab along the north side is well underway now. Looks like they are installing rebar steel for the 3rd floor slab in the SE corner of the south tower. Still working on 2nd floor wall and post forming in the SW corner and center area between the two towers.
