C.H.O.P. wins with these. it adds depth to the skyline. Plus they are nice looking buildings.!

The plans back then had shown four towers, with two more on the parking lot to the south. Those images did also show this tower with a different height, then they went silent about it. Now that the second tower is underway, I kinda believe more could still come. Unless CHOP recieves enough space with the two towers currently under construction

Here's the original plan for comparison. They went higher for this building, but i kind of wish they scale down future phase, or at least make it flow better and not form a wall by the river. Expanding the current tiered park seems like it would be better.

Yeah they're pretty much out of buildable land in University City after the New Patient Tower is completed. I remember reading the VA was going to shut down and they wanted Penn to take it over so that's the last bit of land around there. I wonder if USciences campus is the next frontier for Penn? I could see them moving some athletic fields there and then building where Rhodes, Stuart Field and Mondschein Throwing Complex are located by the train tracks and 76.

Didn't UPenn buy some land in Gray's Ferry recently?

Chop bought 3000 Grays Ferry Ave recently:
https://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...ays-ferry.html

And Penn was planning a Pennovation expansion but I haven't heard anything since this was annouced

https://penntoday.upenn.edu/news/365...novation-works

The lot CHOP bought is especially ugly. I wish that whole area on Grays Ferry Ave. was bulldozed and start from scratch.

The lot CHOP purchased at 3000 Grays is going to be a garage to help alleviate parking issues closer to campus

Actually, I only just thought recently, the plaza/walking path between Buerger and Colket building has a footprint big enough for another tower, right along the Buerger drop off as long as it can physically support it. They would just need to build the parking ramp into the design like they did with the HUB with the other parking ramp

Also 8/16

Does anyone know if that AT&T building is in use? Is it occupied? Every time I pass by there, I ask myself that question. ( I was just down last week)
