I was thinking they are lightboxes for a lighted band around that section and the signage a level above.

It seems pretty enclosed without any access which might eliminate lighting. It's interesting that it's angled and not boxed off.

there kinda looks to be a long hinge, possibly, along the bottom edge of it. or it could just be lighting/shadows.

There may be screws around the edge.
Hinge would be at the top of the angled part to access LEDs along the bottom edge if it's a light box.
The taper makes sense to me as a reflector.

I was going down Hamilton today and noticed this large telescoping crane. I caught the last piece of a crane being hauled away. It was the Hamilton south crane.

Three cranes left on The Post now.

It's interesting, in this pic from two weeks ago you can see that the crane they took down (just right of centre) was not directly attached to the tower.

I'd noticed that. I don't think any of them are/were. I'm guessing the availability of that huge welded steel frame 'podium' gave them a very secure location to fix the crane bases, and with the towers not being super-tall, the cranes were able to withstand the lifts involved without needing to be attached to the concrete frames as the towers were built. When they were installed, they were unusually tall.

The glass installation as seen from this angle on Dunsmuir seems to have stopped. Almost three weeks and no new glass.

I can't wait till the rest of the heritage building is scrubbed, I am looking forward to that the most. It bothers me some elevations are still covered in grime, I know they will clean it, but it always bothers me seeing it, especially because the Georgia elevation is all redone by comparison. Also really getting excited for what the retail base is going to be like inside

Maybe they were shipped through Ningbo?

At Brockton Point Lighthouse Friday afternoon 3:55pm, I noticed a concrete pour at The Post. I don't know what the other construction site was.

The old reddish granite panels are reappearing on the Hamilton side.

Glass installation seems to have picked up again on the north tower.

Also, there is scaffolding going up on the Dunsmuir facade. I would expect to see it all covered in white while it gets cleaned.

You assume they'll paint it like the West Georgia side.
