I know the colour of the paving stones is intended to match the library precinct (slightly off in colour and texture),
but they've also carried the colour inside to the lobby walls which is a bit off-putting.

The long planter along Homer looks good with the sword ferns.
I may have done better in winter wrt salt if it were slightly raised.

I guess the intention is that the Deloitte sign be enveloped by ivy?

Ya, for some reason I don't like the red pavers against the modern building either. Just doesn't look right. Absolutely love this building though!

I just noticed that the new trees don't have the library book clay tiles at the corners of the planters like they should (?).

Here's the terracotta colour permeating into the lobby.
The terrazzo flooring is also a terracotta/white mixture.

Pic by me last night.

Thanks for the update, mcminsen. Interesting that there's no Apple logo. I wonder if they've decided to stay in the Westbank property they're currently based in, or are just delaying moving in?

Gluttons for punishment.

Another glass floor by Westbank at Deloitte Summit, stategically placed in front of stairs.

Alley side with that knife edge border.

Might as well place banana skins there as well.

Too brightly coloured.
They'll preemptively alert the person walking up before they get there.

No, what you want to do is frit the glass to the same tone or colour as the surrounding paving stone to camoflouge it properly and completely sneak up on unsuspecting approaching pedestrians.

And that glass is probably textured for traction.
Yeah, we'll need to get rid of that.
You'll wanna buff them so they're as smooth as eggs..

Oh, what fun will be had.
(...and lawsuits)

Scariest thing would be someone rushing up the stairs on a really wet, rainy day not realizing there is glass on top, slip, and then fall back down the stairs.

Apart from that, building looks great!

i assume this glass must have something like a sand blasted finish no? i don't seem someone installing slippery glass like that.

until someone here has actually checked, i will assume its a non-slip finish.
