Physical barriers, gates, actual security and cop presence within the malls - overall, over 9000% more advanced than apparent Winnipeg mall security, ever has and ever will be. I'm surprised at the fact Polo hasn't taken up the ante with security... CF Chinook has, and they're noticable as hell and never mess around either. Yet CF Polo (or what us old-timers called Polo Park, before Cadillac Fairview put their damn logo in front of it so we would all have to kiss their ass when trying to describe *their* mall), its almost as if they don't exist. And if they do, clearly they dont do much, except drive around flashing their lights, as if somehow that does anything to curb the security problem...
Long story short: if they want to stop thefts, they should really stop letting those people steamroll entire retailers out of business, and maybe stop pretending that Winnipeg is an episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood - minus the train, because Winnipeg just built a road to nowhere, since the trains too "prohibitive", along with drawing straight lines on a map, or basic road repairs. Prime example: Empress, which is also where my belongings got stolen when someone smashed into my friends car ourside Chapters and ran off with it all... the entire St. James area needs a massive security realignment, to be honest. And maybe some economic incentives too, like for example, hiring those people for jobs rebuilding the surface of the moon, roght beside the creek...
