I'm curious whether the can't miss it height of this project is getting any anti-height backlash that might affect other projects going forward.

Not that I'm hoping for that, but when something sticks out so obviously, it's something like putting a head up out of a fox hole.

IMO I think it is actually going to do the EXACT opposite.

I have heard a rumour that a developer has asked for a design of a condo tower +50 something...anyone hear the same thing?

That's encouraging news.

Just scouring the Canada section. Many smaller Ontario cities are getting towers taller than anything we have planned!!

^point being? A lot of factors determine where and how high, we need to focus on density and better design.

Point is self evident.

Density yes.

Better design absolutely.

Height... We have had a short haircut far too long in this city. Seems some people are still allergic to striving higher. Height is not a bad word.

No point...really. I agree with your last sentence. Taller is fine if its stellar design and not crap. It was the + I was really interested in...as to whether it is smoke.
