^Beautiful, 1ajs.

Rainy in the morning and then cloudy for the rest of the day. High of 17C.

I picked up a new lens (28-400mm) for my camera today. The focal range is pretty insane. It'll be my street/travel lens in the future.

I tested it out after the rain stopped.

The lens has a crazy focal range.

28mm

400mm

Holy moly, I need to check the weather thread way more often, nice pics 1ajs and giallo!

I just adore that first pic giallo, and how you're able to achieve those deep inky blacks and you have perfect exposure, highlights, contrast, everything. Have you ever led a photo walk tour before or led a training group? You should really think about it - I'd be more than happy to pay to be part of it! Heck why not start a Youtube channel and share your editing tips as well - I mean you'd have to clone yourself to find the time but other than that seems easy..

5C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, only getting to 15C this afternoon. Definitely fall weather. Leaves are falling surprisingly fast, and at least two weeks ahead of schedule (no doubt stress related and due to the ongoing drought).

Football tonight. BMHS vs MHS. It will be an odd game. My youngest son went to BMHS, and won a provincial championship with their football team. Now he is a coach, and the special teams coordinator with the MHS Purple Knights. I will obviously cheer on MHS in support of my son, but, this is a home game for BMHS, so it will feel very odd to be in a situation where I will be cheering against the high school all three of my sons went too........

Rain on Saturday coming in from the NW, there's definitely some snow in the models. With a low of 2º we could definitely see a sprinkle in the NW part of the city where the elevation is higher. I doubt anything will stick though *knock on wood*

Parts of the city and the surrounding areas had storms overnight and we finally got an actual measurable amount of rain. I haven't checked, but I don't think we had any real precipitation the entire month of September.

18 sunny today, 17 sunny tomorrow and then it cools down for the weekend. 11, 11, 11 before climbing back up to 19 on Tuesday. Risk of freezing will come Saturday into Sunday with a forecast low of 0.

I did a few photo tours through Airbnb Experiences when I was living in Shanghai, but I haven't done anything like that since returning to Canada. It might be fun to do again, but it's an issue of time.

Thanks for the nice comments! Whenever you're back in Vancouver, feel free to PM me. I'd be happy to walk around with the camera.

It may be chilly in St. John's, but, no risk of frost.

It very nearly froze in Corner Brook last night though (+0.2C).

It's been cloudy with some rain in Vancity today, a high of 17°C, but still not winter.

I love this fall weather. Light jacket, take your umbrella, you may or may not need it. Everything's getting lush again.

I managed to get out on the Granville Bridge yesterday for the first time in a long time.

Not sure what it's like at the airport, but my backyard station is down to 0.8 degrees at 11pm. If it were to freeze it'd be the earliest it's happened by about a month.

Great pics, mcminsen, I hope you are feeling well! I also really miss the October feel in Vancouver. After 13 years of not experiencing it, I really hope to again one of these days.

As for September, quite nice nearly coast to coast this year.

Of special note is the heat in the BC interior, the hottest weather station was Lytton Climate, which averaged an astounding high of 29.2, and low of 14.6.

Also of note is that Yellowknife went the entire month without a freeze.

And yes, as Nikko has pointed out recently, Environment Canada has made it a pain in the ass to get these numbers now compared to before.

Here are the numbers!

It froze in Maniwaki (north of Ottawa) and Mt. Tremblant last night, but the cities of Montreal and Ottawa were spared.

A (somewhat) chilly 8C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to 19C this afternoon.

Summer heat returns this weekend, getting as warm as 27C on Monday.

A warmer than expected 21C in Moncton at 3 PM, with a touch of humidity in the air. It feels like what late August used to be like around here.

Between 21C & 27C for the next five days. If we had had frost (which we didn't), I would have called it "Indian Summer."
