Overcast and cold with a bit of drizzle. Walked for my iced coffee in shorts and a sweater and had to hold it with my hands in my sweater sleeve to hurry home and bundle up lol

Windows still open tho. Out of spite. It's only September

Excuse the lack of punctuation. Keyboard got messed up and its making funny characters instead of using apostrophes, etc.

Turns out beach season isnt over yet even if the beach looks dead. Gorgeous weather on the weekend like two people on the beach only.

Several trees cut down during the week. Still not going to buy an electrical splitter. If our ancestors had to do it with rudimentary tools then Ill do it with the manual hydraulic splitter. Some good progress already made.

At the first beach there were two holes in the sand in the water bubbling. Stuck my arm down 10 inches into the void, afraid I was going to get sucked down into another dimension. But, all I felt was a colder temp and some rocks and leaves. Then at the next beach, returned to the scene of the quick clay from three weeks ago and yup, still there. Dropped all the way down to my knee.

16C, calm and perfectly clear in Moncton at 11 AM.

Coolish the next three days (but no risk of frost), then the heat will return on Friday. Up to 26C again by Monday. Pretty impressive for early October!

When they tell you Vancouverites don't still use umbrellas, it isn't true.

19C and sunny. Beautiful day but there was this north wind that prevented us from having even warmer temperatures. We hit the peak warmth at noon and then we remained there pretty much all afternoon.

Low of 13C this morning.

The warmspot was Elbow, SK at 31.9C. 33 stations above 30C today. Madness. September 2025 will end up the most impressive month weather wise in a few years.

Warmest low was Burlington Piers, ON at 16.7C.

8C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM. The high today will be a fallish 13C.

It got down to +3.2C last night, but, this is the nadir for the week as temperatures rebound later, with highs up to 26C again this weekend.

I'm hoping it holds off until late October. I've got to drive the Coquihalla next Wednesday.

Any snow in Calgary will be overnight Friday - Sunday. Very highly doubt there will be any trace of accumulation though, will just look rainy on the webcams...

I was in TO and the Niagara region last week, still summer there. Autumn is much more advanced in Vancouver.

Toronto is about 650km further south than Vancouver, I would expect a noticeably later fall and earlier spring. I remember being in NYC a week before Halloween and the leaves had barely begun to change, in Calgary the trees were already completely bare.

In Vancouver it's been mostly cloudy with a high of 17°C today.
People think it's winter, but it's not.

Brisk east winds kept things cooler today, high of 20.8. Still pretty nice, barely a cloud in the sky for the past week.

September started cool but ended strong with 17 days over 25

24.1 avg high
13.2 avg low
18.6 hourly mean

16C and sunny. Same northern wind that capped the temperature yesterday at it again today. Dewpoint was below zero this afternoon so it's going to be a cold night.

Low of 7C this morning.

The warmspot was Emerson, MB at 28.8C.

Warmest low was Kleefeld, MB at 19.1C.
