I wonder if this is a mirage. I don't see any reason why they will taper it so small.

It says 23' something... It's right there on the elevation drawing. A 50 foot pinch from the south to north isn't insignificant. I should be very noticeable, and like I said, very graceful.

While Vornado looks to part with its Chicago and San Francisco buildings, it’s trying to bulk up further in New York, home to 90% of its portfolio. The firm hopes next spring to begin work on a 1.4 million square-foot office tower at 350 Park Ave. for financial firm Citadel. It recently finished the redevelopment of Penn 1 and Penn 2, at a cost of $1.2 billion, and last week Verizon Communications said it would relocate to the complex next to Penn Station from its longtime headquarters overlooking Bryant Park.

Roth said New York is “the single best market in the country by far” for office buildings and the numbers bear that out. New York’s office vacancy rate is 16%, according to JLL, better than any major city but not far below the city’s 17% record set in 1991.

It's a little similar to 270 Park, though to a lesser extent. Part of the site is over the rails...

Finally, we remain very excited about the redevelopment of 350 Park Avenue as Citadel with Citadel as our anchor tenant and Ken Griffin as our 60 partner.

The process to create this grand Foster and Partners designed 1,800,000 square foot tower on the west side of Park Avenue has begun and this new building will stand out as being truly best in class.

CDs are complete I. E. The building is basically designed and CDs are progressing. Last month the City Planning Commission voted to approve the project and we expect the final deal of approval from the City Council this fall.

Citadel is currently building out their interim swing space which will allow us to commence demolition of the existing Three fifty Park Avenue building in spring.

The Tower Fifth assemblage remains. A tower will be built there, but Macklowe lost the site to his lenders. I don't think there's any current public info on that assemblage.

As I recall, Crazy Harry owned a limited number of parcels. The whole assemblage included small parcels on 52nd Street that he would have had to acquire. However, as I recall, some other entity bought the 52nd Street parcels and plans to put its own offices there. Sadly, there isn't much of an assemblage to develop.

I love how it has the same taper as Chase tower. The towers will look great together as silhouettes at dusk when viewed from the east.
