Isn't City Parks updating the irrigation system in Victoria Park? I believe they are doing this one section at a time/summer, and then they replace the grass with sod.

Would it be possible to open up the the merchants bank to the mall and turn it into another anchor store that goes into the mall like H&M?

The Casino to Sears/Mall pedway has closed as of today. The former Sears is being carved up into small units bc they can't find someone to take on that space as a single tenant.

Do we have any idea what the new tenants will be, or how many new stores will take that place? Or is it too soon to know any details?

That’s a good question. Are they carving up the space to suit specific tenants, or on spec?

I don't know, but my suspicion is it's on spec.

Probably a combination. The same owners of Midtown in Saskatoon appear to have found some tenants for some of their Sears space including MEC and more food kiosks. On the Regina Retail thread there is a suggestion that Shoppers will take a big chunk.

I'm pretty sure the only viable business plan for that building would have been a strip club. With the bylaws not allowing it, only thing left to do was tear it down.

Any word on the redevelopment at Albert & 7th? I remember there was a fire in the one part of the building. Was it structurally unsafe?

Considering the location I highly doubt anything too exciting will be happening there.
