An adendum to my previous post. DM shot those on the 3rd. Forms are now up for a large portion of the first parking floor of Brookfield Place.

Harbourplaza peaking up over the Gardiner Expressway

234 meters/223 meters

Milestone: First picture that I have taken of Harbourplaza in which I haven't had to stand under the Gardiner Expressway.

I had to do a panorama, but that does lead to ghosting.

One Bloor is already looking spectacular already. Amazing quality.

Was just thinking though imagine L Tower with the same quality curtainwall glazing as One Bloor. Missed oppurtunity I gues but L Tower still looks great and does alot for the Toronto skyline with its unique shape.

lol. Only to be blocked out by 45 Bay and surrounding towers. L tower shoulda been 50 meters taller. In a few years it will get lost on the skyline. But ya it looks real nice on the skyline, you have to enjoy it while it lasts. And ya cladding was a huge disappointment for me. And they went overkill with the random patterns on the 3 facades.

I was in Toronto on Saturday and tourists were snapping pics of the L Tower right, left, and center. So the cladding can't be that bad. It's a unique building and came out relatively well. I am impressed. That ventilation doesn't look the greatest but from all other angles the tower is very striking.

It's also used as the site of the evil corporate headquarters in Orphan Black.

I was thinking that the developer might change the ventilation thing after hearing the criticism.

The time to make those kinds of changes to the tower are when it's still just a drawing, or at the latest when they're building the parking levels, not when it's already been built. A developer isn't going to drop potentially millions of dollars on changing the project because of what some anonymous posters on a website (which they probably don't even read) think.
