well the units are very good quality and all the studios are basically the same with some minor differences. Certain units have floor to ceiling windows, the other units have large 6x6 windows ( you can tell on the outside which ones are which)

the choice goes by seniority and surprisingly a lot of people are choosing the bottom floor.

Certain units are slighty smaller or larger based on where they are in the building ( the difference is absorbed in the closet space.) and I swear by SF standards, the bathrooms are the size of a small studio! Very nice built in shelves.

The kitchens have the smaller end of a full size fridge ( compared to the little under counter numbers we have right now where you can barely get a box of eggos in there)

the stoves are 4 burner apt size. (24 inch)

the cupboard space is..

for god sake could those freakin love fest people please shut the hell up thoe girls over there have been screaming at the top of their lungs all gaod damned day....

sorry.... what was I saying.... I mean christ its been 9 hours give it a rest for gods sake.

anyway.... they are very nice and Im gonna be way up high where the general public will be as far away as possible.

They sound like very nice units, nativeguy. I'm happy for you.

I wonder what the market rate rents will start at in this down market. probably around 1500 for studio?

So do you now know exactly what floor you'll be on?

1500 for a studio seems high - I'd guess they'll start around 1350, though I could be wrong. They are practically junior one bedrooms, so 1500 may not be far off.

Safeway, Whole Foods or any grocery store

Does anyone know if Safeway or Whole Foods will be moving in after the project is completed? I live a few blocks from Trinity and this would be an ideal location for a real grocery store. Any other businesses rumored to be moving in?

i dont know for sure what floor but when I put in my bid there were still plenty of uppers avail.

as for a grocery etc... no retail in the first tower. that will come with phase two and three and its too early to know what retail will be there.

I know I too am waiting for a grocery and a target but for those of us in this hood, remember that the sfmart furniture building on market, is slated for development into a a huge retail center with multiple floors and one rumor has a target going in there.

with the current downturn though its likely a lot of things will be on hold.

There's not much else to see. the exterior minus the remaining work elevator, is finished and most of the interior is done as well. Move ins start January. The last pic posted was pretty much it. I will post interiors once I get in.

I'm glad to see my photo shared - must say I was surprised. I got back Monday from a 21 day cruise to Japan and am just now catching up with the thread.

No kidding. Mr Cruise here. Might have to change your name to Tom of San Fran. Are you planning a photo thread from this latest trip?

ok so now, the construction elevator on the back side has been removed. and they are in the final stages of putting the exterior panels on that stack of units where the elevator was. thats unit 17. floors 3-24 - they are halfway done sealing these units up with the windows/ext panels, using a small crane and what looks like a window cleaner platform. boy I hope they get those panels on nice and secure!! I'd be afraid to lean against the wall in unit 17 lol

anyway, the building is very close to finished. I guess the lobby will be last (sheetrock is up)
then there will be a landscaped ground level area around the building that will be there until the get to the phase with the raised podium.

A Frank Gehry creation? No. The air ducts and fans atop Trinity Plaza Phase I. I can imagine what the view is like from the SOMA Grand penthouse. It appears that the condo directly across from the rooftop utilities is available.

I chose an apt on the soma side so unfortunately I wont have good pics of the phase 2 and 3 construction. I will get a pic of the lobby this week if I remember. they have removed the surround so now you can see cleary how it all looks on mission street.
