Kelowna by Foyle, not bad for a city under 190 000.

A stunning photo of English Bay from the Tourism British Columbia Facebook page.

I love the southwest face of Living Shangri La, especially when viewed from Jericho or the Spanish Banks. Absolutely stunning sunset pics man!

Great photos, raggedy13! Please do post those also on the Vancouver section.

I like the view from Jericho Beach, however I do not like how wide Shangri-La looks from that angle. Anyways, need to get there sometimes for some nice photos.

An inventory of some of the major historic buildings in Calgary built in or before 1915.

It's too bad the rocket is only temporary. It fits right into it's surroundings.

Such a nice city park and they have done a really good job of re-vamping the landscaping. I like the loose chairs that can be moved around like they have in parks and squares in Manhattan. The park also includes fountains, a public library in an historic Carnegie building and a little cafe, the Boxwood. The building across the street is the Sheldon Chumir Downtown Health Centre.

Now that the Rocket is there, and now that I know there are ground fountains there, I'll have to stop by after work on Friday!

The Rocketship is in the Union Square pop up park.
Unfortunately, the 2 large fountains at Central Memorial Park are off. Not sure why, it seems a little early to shut them down for winter.

Yeah, but remembering how early the snows hit last year, I don't blame them.

I hate when they close the fountains early. So unnecessary. They should be open until Oct 15.
