I really like this grainy image of our skyline, for it looks more like a SE US city.

Yikes...that pic should not have been posted. No, that's Edmonton proud. We are more inclined to have taller towers than a Us city our size.

I now think I have Cataracts lol.

Point being that it threw me off guard when seeing it. It did not look like our skyline from 130 blocks away.

Agreed the quality is not great, but that’s probably the most impressive angle of the Edmonton skyline. It does remind me of Charlotte or southeastern US cities. The skyline really went from meh to borderline impressive imo with the new highrises, at least from this vantage point.

No doubt, a single integrated project that is a game changer for the entire downtown.

Helps that she speaks that weirdly perfect Scandinavian English... but not a word of French.

As I mentioned it is actually not bad down there anymore, but I still wouldn't recommend it for a tourist until like a, day 4 scenario.

Interestingly enough, as a tourist in Copenhagen I definitely felt some cultural similarities with Toronto. The same reservedness but if you sit at a bar and someone starts talking all of a sudden it's 4 hours later and you are drinking after last call. When my upstairs neighbours hosted some friends from CPH they really enjoyed it here but also immediately commented on the relative lack of bikes (which is funny because most in this household are hardcore cyclists).

Six towers are going up in this photo of the MissingSausage, all in different stages of construction(M City twins will be right of the two dark blue towers):

Funny, we just had a friend visit from the Netherlands and she was actually surprised by the amount of bikes here. Obviously, that number being a lot lower than that what you'd see over there, but still more than what would be expected in North America.
