Could be. I heard an interlude on 980 CJME (online) that there was a presentation there. A more 'detailed', and yet - vague - description is on the Friends of the RPL website.

They are no where near ready for that. In fact they seem to be starting over, initiating public consultation:

In addressing the challenges facing the Library, the RPL Board and Executive are re-engaging the public to talk about their needs and aspirations for their Library system, and their Central Library, as fundamental in properly preparing for the future.

The public consultation process will begin with key stakeholder consultations followed by full public engagement taking place later in June, and throughout the summer and early fall. A launch event for the public consultations will be held June 25th at Central Library for the media and the public to ask questions and get engaged.

Hahahaha. The new building is already going to completely mess up the entrance/exit onto Univ Park Dr...adding a Tim Hortons will make it nearly impossible to get in or out considering all the extra traffic. If Albert St S can't handle the rush for Tim Hortons in the morning without spilling lines onto Albert St, then that stretch of Univ Park Dr is going to be clogged up for sure.

I can't believe the owners of that mall got away with breaking the bylaws regarding permits and whatnot and were not punished in any way, and now are building a disruptive store on a busy (and already crammed) feeder road.

EDIT - Ah, no drive-thru. That would be better. But that lot is already crammed, I can't see them meeting bylaws in terms of number of spots required...but considering how the city basically waives those requirements all the time for any business that asks, they probably will in this situation too. There is also a greenhouse which goes in that lot for 1/2 the year and takes up 20-30 spots, so I wonder what will happen to them.

I sure hope they allow more space than indicated on that map for a future interchange so the east bypass can continue north over Vic avenue at some point in the future with something other than a basic diamond interchange

They should stop putting those "town square" areas in all these maps since they always end up getting scrapped anyway. Eventually it will be changed into a mall area focused on cars.

This morning street lights (posts, not traffic) were going up on Assiniboine E west of the Ring Road flyover. Think the curve around the SE corner of Douglas Park and across from where you pull into the parking lot for Leibel Field/Douglas Park track.

Considering the north part is a decade+ away they're not going to put any effort into designing for it.

I think what they have now is adequate. I will draw up tonight a way to do this with the current plan and existing conditions. And I can only imagine it will be a full scale systems interchange
