Curtainwall is nothing special and the massing and stepbacks are horrendous. It be aesthetically nicer to look at all in curtainwall but, that's about it.

Yeah, well we all know as far as curtain wall goes Aura's isn't the best. But its still ascetically pleasing in most lighting conditions and looks 100x time better then the window wall disaster below it. Also, you may think the set backs are horrendous but without them the building would be bland as a fuk as a tube.

They simply are poorly thought out like the rest of the details from this third rate hack of a firm. That doesn't mean I prefer a tower without them. I don't why you're getting so defensive. I mentioned the curtain wall is pleasing. It isn't nearly enough to put this clunker among the best towers.

Fair enough and I do agree that its nowhere near Toronto best. But now that we pretty much have the final product I don't think its quite the blight/ruins the skyline, as some people would seem to suggest.

It's sheer dominance does distract from the immediate area around it. It add value to the skyline only at very extreme distances. It needs a minimum of a half dozen, well placed, 200+ metre neighbours before it adds value up close. Who knows when that will happen.

I find it's presence on the skyline as not too bad, especially in the right light, however it is just awful from the street.

At least it's not trump I suppose...

Yes, it's moving fast. And faster than I thought it would.

I didn't take a picture, but the hole at 88 Scott looks to be about 3 levels down.

Definitely! That is one sexy building... wish it was at least 100ft taller so it would stand out a little more above the rest of southcore from the traditional lake view.
