That's the south side. Thankfully Backstage U/C will block a good two-thirds of it from view.

The cladding on the east, west, and south side are all disappointing. The north side looks fabulous.

Ah, well. Can't win'em all, and don't forget this is the city where developers seem to never be able to get it right. EVER!

At least L Tower's beauty will survive in the views from the East, West, and South

Both NY and Hong Kong have thousands of crap buildings and tens of great ones. What makes them great is the quantity.

So, while each building alone may not be the best showpiece, together (with London on Esplanade) they will finish off the street quite nicely.

Well on the bright side, and to your point. The One Yonge Development will block everything from sight....

I wish the vents were shadow boxed. I guess recessing them into the facade would have been easiest. The up close view of the window wall is still worse.

I never gave Backstage much attention, but it could turn out quite well. It's nothing we haven't seen before, but it should look a lot better than the south facade of L Tower.

L Tower has been a massive disappointment. It only looks good from a distance on its east or west sides or from straight north. It's still better than most condos but given the high hopes many had for this tower it has been a complete letdown.

That looks like it's going to turn out amazing, although I must say the body of the tower looks a lot narrower than I had imagine from the renderings.

Not as cool as the renderings...but close enough.

They didn't have to install them at all, so it's a plus.

To me that makes a big difference in the appearance of the building at night, totally changes it imo. I like it.
