502 West 15th

I have a hunch this one may have stalled out..no workers on site and not much has changed from my update back in January.

Endeavor wants to build an office building here with retail. A design competition was held last winter and SOM won the bid.

Any further details released? Guessing they can’t go more than 3-4 stories here …

Mid-rise, possible hotel component? This was mentioned to me from a friend who works for a local firm who also made a submission.

Here are some of the ABJ paywall protected details about the 6th & N. Lamar Endeavor project:

"John Kunz, Waterloo’s owner, said he is weighing his options following Endeavor Real Estate Group’s 2019 acquisition of the 600 N. Lamar Blvd. shopping center that the record store has called home since 1989. The 1-acre site at the northwest corner of West Sixth Street and North Lamar Boulevard is coveted as one of downtown's most high-profile spots.

Kunz said Endeavor wants to replace the shopping center eventually and raise a high-rise building, although he said the earliest that might happen is in about three years. In addition to the record store, the site is occupied by Amy’s Ice Cream, 24 Diner and Snap Kitchen, plus Lululemon and Lush Cosmetics.

“They have been great to work with but, at some point, we are going to have to relocate somewhere," Kunz said of Endeavor. “We have always been very central and hope to remain very central."

The relocation could either be permanent or temporary because Kunz said Endeavor is willing to keep Waterloo as a tenant if it chooses to return following the completion of the new tower."

That's for sure. There are some VERY deep pocketed individuals that live on Baylor Street right behind this site and they are not going to sit still for something more than 60-90' tall.

they have been tasting the lights on these some nights, and it's really nice as well

There is also lighting incorporated into the new yellow shapes about the entrances.... !
