Since '95, Regina has handled three Grey Cups with style and grace. Since the last Grey Cup in '13, there have been several more hotels constructed within the Regina area. Moreover, if Canada manages to secure the 2026 FIFA, Regina would be even better prepared for that by then.
On October 6th and 8th, 2006, the Rolling Stones did two concerts with each show having 45,000 in attendance. (Lots of out-of-towners for that as well - no hiccups.)
Regina would handle FIFA-related activities ---- no problemo.
