The GWCCA says that its Board of Governors unanimously approved the contract with 360 Architecture for $35 million. This now allows the design process, or the "fun part" as Falcons Owner calls it, to now formally begin.

I actually like both, but I like the second one because it looks to be more open aired...????

The first one looks cool with the design, but just looks like a hole in the roof with no real view outside.??

Wow! I like both also. Looking through the PDF presentation revisited in me why I decided to study engineering when I was a teenager.

I believe they've already chosen Option C for the MMPT, but the one that was twice as large would have been even better. South Downtown is about to be VERY popular!

Didn't know that, but I don't think it's a coincidence that they have similar architecture (hopefully?).

Wow...both are amazing. I HIGHLY recommend clicking the powerpoint and looking at all the attached graphics on each.

Comments:

- Pantheon is extremely visually impressive and cutting edge from the outside. I think this would be among the most impressive stadiums in the world (which is a very important aspect in all of this). That's the main selling point, I think.
- Pantheon also lacks sunlight. Definitely not much of an open air experience.
- 360 degree jumbotron would be awesome, although I wonder if the sun would be in certain viewers' eyes (the jumbotron could be right behind the sun).

- Solarium would be awesome in open-roof mode. The walls move away to make it look basically just like an outdoor stadium. Very, very cool.
- Even in closed mode, it would be very sunny. There is a HUGE amount of glass in that thing.
- Jumbotron placement would be in the four corners. Not the most impressive.
- Outside it is tough to tell what it would look like. Definitely very large, but maybe kind of just a box at the same time? Having an eye-catching exterior finish will be critical. I'd actually wonder if it would still be attractive if the size of the individual panes were a lot smaller than shown (I assume they would have to be).
- In open mode it looks awesome from the side.

Option A Pantheon might possibly fit the site better inasmuch as MLK Drive would curve around the structure in graceful symmetry with its outer circumference.

I like the red and white one, looks very futuristic like something you would see in Asia, Europe, Australia.....
I like all of the designs so far....

I really want to be enticed to come to a game then I really want a more open airy feel. Love the red white look, just not open enough...

Wow! I really like the Pantheon design. I want to see our city take a step forward and go with a more cutting edge design like this. I hope we don't drop the ball, no pun intended, and settle for just a basic design.

I know these are just preliminary concepts, but wow! I like them both, but especially the exterior of the Pantheon.

There was a story about the new stadium and the historic churches possibly moving tonight on NBC Nightly News.
