There is firm scientific evidence that this ancient aphorism is indeed an astute observation

I love your life stories related to weather conditions. They make me dream of beautiful weather-climate and environmental scenarios

BIL then went to get gas today and after an hour wait the station ran out. Went to another and got some more after an hour. Could be days before power is back. And that mobile one I have will only do a space heater so they have to stay in one room basically. Could also drive a couple hours here if they want but next thing you know the power will come back as soon as they arrive here.

They also didn’t have a snow blower but BIL’s best friend is 20 minutes away and came with his whenever it was a proper snowfall, which was often. My other BIL’s coworker was getting rid of his heavy duty old one in Hamilton so he scooped it up for free and gave it to my in-laws.

The third BIL is in the Kawarthas and this is what his place looks like.

From last Monday. Like I mentioned before how the two Christmas light display houses near me still hadn't removed their, Coronation Park also hasn't touched their displays. That two months of snow cover really set schedules back.

From Thursday. Was out in rural Milton checking out Drumquin Park restoration project. This drainage ditch and culvert is perhaps doing its just too well. That recycle bin should have read the message.

From today. Mount Walmart is making some good progress (regression?).

This Spring kinda sucks so far. So much rain - and while we got up to around 11 overnight, a cold front is moving in through the day to bring us back to freezing by tonight. Cold tomorrow and Wednesday, then 18 on Thursday before sliding back to cold. Highs of 2 next Monday & Tuesday. Yuck

I was there about 15 years ago. In the spring. My wife had a meeting in Palermo. Then we spent another week there and then Rome. Great weather the whole time we were there.

As for the snow, It finally ended Saturday Morning, Heaviest snow fall since 2017. Ranging from 20-35cm in the metro region on Edmonton. Trees look great. Sun load is pretty good so the snow was melting even as it fell. But it was heavy, my snow blower struggled. And it did not slow the city down, it appears that nothing was canceled. and the streets were busy.

When I get back to the office I'll post some before and after shots.

Ski hills loved it. Jasper had about 21cm. so they have had over 50 cm in the last week or so.

Still our moisture level is still be low normal.

13C and overcast. Mild day.

Low of 1C last night and rainy. Obviously crappy but plain rain is better than freezing rain everyone can agree to that.

The warmspot was Granby, QC at 16.5C.

Warmest low was White Rock, BC at 9.2C.

Yesterday, Windsor, ON recorded a dewpoint as high as 16.1C. Highest this year.

All-time March highest dewpoint for Windsor is 17.3C (1990) so that level of humidity in March is impressive but not unprecedented.

^ The snow is beautiful, but it's been a nice spring day in Vancouver, about 12°C (YVR).

After our 2nd wettest March on record with a total accumulation of precipitation of a whopping ) 49.5mm of rain, we have a pretty nice looking forecast for the tail end of this week.

Looking forward to the sunshine and warmer temps!
