Slowly but surely one parking lot or lowrise at a time our downtown is filling in nicely... density, people & new businesses are finally coming to the core once again!

Will that podium have any retail or restaurants/cafes or is it strictly a lobby and parking garage? The podium looks as if it could house a department store like Nordstrom or Simons from the outward design lol

The only thing I hate about this build is in some ways it is TOO nice - in that it makes the other buildings around it look drab with their more earthy tones.

Really it's more an issue with the other buildings than this building itself hehe.. hopefully when more builds like this go up it will even itself out.

also 666th post in thread

I agree with all of you, this building looks fantastic, and it's only the start of what's to come for that part of Downtown...

Glass has almost completely stopped going up recently. I guess working on smaller things, interiors and first floor and such?

It's funny, it it wasn't for that pure white column this would just be another boring glass tower, but that part really helps to make it pop

Also it's weird how organic the tower looks, like it's just always been there, from a distance. Here's to hoping we get more of that sort of design.

Also some of those views give the optical illusion the building tapers up - I love the clever use of the different types of glasses and balconies to give subtle contours and patterns to the building. So smartly done.

For some reason they've removed almost all of the silver balcony paneling...

Weird - hopefully they realized it's not white and want it to match. Also love the curved bit going in at ground level

I love the fact they strategically placed the tower visually in between the gap of the other 2 buildings, so people can still have a view between the buildings.
