At EFCL listening to a presentation on the goods movement strategy.
-yellowhead is the top route, then whitemud, AHD.
-the main origin/destination was between the NE/SE
-significant increase in regional truck traffic.
-62% satisfactory with existing truck routes, very high compared to other cities.
-overall truck traffic is up 40% since 2004.

There will be a PIP starting in April.

I wonder if it was the crane I saw coming into town last week, when I drove down to Red Deer.

First and Jasper - really liking the 'prism' entrance on Jasper and the wood grain trim accent.

"wood grain trim" is that what that is?? It it looks plain beige - light brown to me - and nothing like the original rendering. I thought it was going to be clad in stainless steel.

The main panels are beige, but the soffit if you will is a different finish...

Is it safe to assume the "break" in the building will delineate office from hotel? (hotel lower/office above???)

I'm thrilled this is going ahead so quickly. It is such a prime location... I'd imagine it's going to be a rather easy building to lease. Kudos to John Day for what should be another fantastic project of his.

I'm guessing the new KR Tower is going to be taller than Scotia 1, right?
