Nope, Bayview is way to the right of this. (just added a map to my post now for your viewing pleasure).

Alright. I do tend to get disoriented on the Quebec side.

Still according to the diagrams page the antenna on Place de Ville III is slightly taller than the roof of the Icon, Place de Ville is in the foreground, and I believe at least 10m higher by elevation. That render makes the Icon look taller or about the same height. which I don't think it should be due to perspective and such. I would guess it would look more equal to the Lord Mountbatten's antenna from that angle.

Alrighty, thanks for the feedback. I thought from this vantage point it might look taller than anything else. I'll keep on dreamin'. I'll have to go back here in a few years and take another shot to compare.

One thing for sure, it will make Hull's skyline look more bulky from this perspective.

Sheesh. Just looked at the price list for the Icon again and they've gone up even more. I feel like they were starting in the 260's just this past summer and now they start at 285?

The excavation on Preston Street has been paved over. It appears to have been for a hydro upgrade to service the project site. No activity on the site today. Workers continue to work on the interior of the sales building at Adeline using a generator for power. A hydro pole has been installed on the sales building site with the connection to a main line incomplete(a role of wire at the base of the pole.) The stairs have been rebuilt on the new site and wheel chair access ramp complete. Basically redoing the former set up that was on the project site. Since the sales building has been moved I'm curious if Claridge has asperations for the remainder of the block not knowing who owns the site of the relocated sales building at Adeline. Maybe too much detail for my update but I walk by the site everyday on the way to work.

Just imagine when the hole is done and the crane is installed. Hoping the Italia across the street is relaunched next spring as planned, giving the kind of gateway worthy of Little Italy.

OK, with an address like this building will have, the views that will be possible...they need to spare no expense. I mean, if they want this to be their flagship property, don't nickle and dime the exterior like the other buildings they have done. After looking at the website for it, I understand just how tall this building will be, and what it means for the future skyline of Ottawa. You will be able to see this from a large portion of the city.

Can't wait to see it underway, and especially when it surpasses Ottawa's fabled 27 story threshold during construction!

With some luck, this will cause the more flexible NIMBYs to accept development that will push this city in the direction it needs to go.

How much construction can realistically happen in January? I imagine it's hard to excavate frozen ground...

After the first half meter there is little frost in the ground,so January excavation is not unusual.If it were the case why not say construction to start in April.

April is optomistic given the numer of underground levels they have.
