...Yesterday I noticed this house for the first time along my regular route. I always wonder what’s going on in these situations. Did they go on vacation and not make any arrangements for snow clearing? I assume if they are supposed to be home that wellness checks were conducted.

That term seems to be used interchangeably. I sometimes have to think about the context. The first time was when I was working at a credit union and someone wanted to finance a snow machine. I thought why would you need a loan for a snowblower?
Robbers don't typically bring snowblowers to their break-ins.
Actually there’s a brilliant cover for creative theives. Have a couple of perps clear the driveway with a snowblower, while others go around back to gain entry. The neighbours will just think the homeowners hired a crew to clear the property while the snowblower sounds will mask the “break and enter” sounds.
Of course that sounds like too much work for lazy/drug addled theives, and if they were that ambitious they would probably have real jobs or be moving their way up in organized crime…

I am not looking forward to going into the backyard this weekend. The dog was been busy and I was lazy.
