I found this beauty while doing some virtual exploration in the extreme west of southern Quebec (Sheenboro/Mansfield-Pontefract).
This is a very obscure area. I actually never made it past Campbell’s Bay on the QC side and everything past that is kinda mysterious. There are some nice views, however. And what looks like a nice 5 km-long beach just west of Sheenboro. And plenty of deserted beaches upstream accessible to boat owners. This was taken at the very end of civilization. Past that point one would enter forest roads:
For some reason the Google car kept going on the forest road for about 50 km. Likely didn’t realize they were no longer on a public road until it started looking like this:
I drove on forest roads in the past and there’s something intimidating about them. It feels like you’re clearly on your own, and the environment start feeling oppressive. I wonder if that’s what Australians feel like when they enter the Outback.
