Mark Choey has a Millennium Tower update at his San Francisco New Developments blog. In addition to an excellent overview of the makeup of units in the two buildings, he mentions that they are pouring concrete on the 42nd floor, and that they are averaging 1 floor per week. It's not just our imagination that this one seems to be proceeding slowly. Compared to One Rincon's pace, that is about half-speed.

Looking out the window, I can tell you they are pouring concrete in the core right now and making excellent progress on the glass today. I wish I had my camera with me. I could get some good action shots of glass installation.

Awesome. My favorite new residential in SF that is going up. Great style , nice angles, great glass and shine, and nice silver linings.

SF is growing up.

I noticed on my way home tonight that they've removed the large round bracings from the corners of the hole. You can see in the latest photos above that they had poured right up to the bottom of those. I guess the structure can support the walls from here on. Just a couple more floors and they'll be at street level.

I really like that shot, plinko. Your girlfriend took it at the perfect angle to capture the nice tapering of buildings from the center of the financial district down to the Embarcadero at this end of downtown.

Please come back to us with this same shot once the building is finished, perfect framing!

You can FINALLY see the topmost floor and core sticking out over the rim of the Bay Bridge as you drive west. It is starting to become more and more visible and a PART of the rest of the skyline every day I see it. April 09 is the target completion date, which seems far off, but the top off date will come much sooner than that.

Millennium in her context within the growing Mission canyon, just before sunrise:

Just as first light is hitting her (sorry about the reflections):

Now it's lunchtime and her glass really comes alive:

It almost looks like water:

This is shaping up to be one sexy building:

Good stuff, CityKid. The next floor they pour in the hole will be at street level. You can see the forms coming together toward the back of your second picture. They seem to be moving along much quicker now.
