And the city allows this garbage where the street names in an area are all so similar. Look at Greens on Gardiner: Green Apple Drive, Green Lily Road, Green Creek Road, Green Water Drive, Green Water Road, Green Brook Road, etc. That's not going to be confusing at all.

I agree that having a bunch of similar street names within a subdivision is just silly. Maple Ridge has this problem as well. Maybe the city should take street names out of the hands of developers altogether, and simply impose names from the approved list. But I think in a lot of cases, the city is just a little too cozy with developers and business owners to always make decisions that are actually in the best interests of citizens. (Of course, there are probably just as many instances where the city chooses to listen to loud complaints from NIMBYs rather than proceed with beneficial development.)

Yeah, I knew there were some other developments the same. I'm just in the east end so I'm aware of the Greens. It'll be like Wascana Everything east of Prince of Wales.

And I think you hit the nail on the head about the relationship between council and developers. I've been watching to see who is running this election and so far, it's not much variety.

They don't decide what goes to council. And there's no council meetings in October or November so things are cramped.

Residents are opposed to new Soul's Harbour build in North Central.

Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission is working on a new facility in a currently empty lot in North Central.

The $7 million facility, located on Angus Street, will house a daycare, soup kitchen, men’s shelter and affordable apartment units. It will replace an older building on Halifax Street.
