I agree that having a bunch of similar street names within a subdivision is just silly. Maple Ridge has this problem as well. Maybe the city should take street names out of the hands of developers altogether, and simply impose names from the approved list. But I think in a lot of cases, the city is just a little too cozy with developers and business owners to always make decisions that are actually in the best interests of citizens. (Of course, there are probably just as many instances where the city chooses to listen to loud complaints from NIMBYs rather than proceed with beneficial development.)

Yeah, I knew there were some other developments the same. I'm just in the east end so I'm aware of the Greens. It'll be like Wascana Everything east of Prince of Wales.
And I think you hit the nail on the head about the relationship between council and developers. I've been watching to see who is running this election and so far, it's not much variety.
