I drove by the site recently. The pit is very deep already. I wouldn't be surprised if they started foundation work before December.

Anyone have any news about retail tenants in Modello? Or any sources where one can check on retail unit purchases on any of the new Beresford towers? I'm curious

Are any of the retail units strata titled or are they generally retained by the developers?

Strata-titled retail space typically leads to a poor quality mix of retail tenants, since the individual strata owner chooses the tenant (often in isolation), compared to a developer landlord who can vet the tenants for desirability.

Metroplace retail appears to have been retained by IntraCorp. See Colliers brochure here:

Silver is also an IntraCorp project - so its retail will likely also be retained and leased.

Latest ad for Modello is still stating it being 60% sold, which was the case already 6 months ago. Old ad or no progress with sales?
