Market forces rarely drive extremely tall buildings (the failed Chicago Spire was one possible exception). But I think I know what you're getting at. It'll be a while before market forces make buildings like this profitable anywhere in Europe/The Americas/Australia but I can definitely see supertalls being more common (NY is really exploding with supertall construction right now).
If the Jeddah tower is built though it will, I think, take some of the shine from the Burj Khalifa.
