I was back in town for the first time in quite awhile and I must say Shangri-la is simply stunning. I can't wait to see it completed and all lit up. In the mean time, the Christmas tree on the crane is a nice touch

And your point was....???

This city has a bad attitude. When I was in Portland I took some photos from the Portland Bar and Grill in the 30th Floor of the US Bankcorp Building and got nothing but smiles and Welcome to Portland.

I don't know what the hell it is about this town but people's attitude and demeanor had better improve before 2010.

A shot from Cloud 9 would've been cool... but nnooooooooooooooooo way
It's funny you should say that. About a year ago I went up there before they opened and the restaurant was empty. I asked if it was okay to take a few pictures and one of the waitress said "knock yourself out" she smiled and continued doing her preparations. Maybe it's YOUR attitude and demeanor that needs to improve?

I'm so jealous of Shangri La Vancouver. I want it in Toronto.

Oh well, all I can do is make due with the Shangri La which is going up here in a couple of months..but to be honest, I don't think it will be as nice. Even though my fellow Toronto forumers would probably disagree.....

I'd agree on a compromise--I'd like to have both.

I am hoping it will actually be a "big surprise" and not just a "woopdy do like I didn't see that coming".

Wow, I think you might be the first non-traffic reporter that I've heard use the proper name for the bridge. Congratulations. Unless you actually are a traffic reporter.

No, he's just an intellectual nerd with an obsession for details.
