Construction for RBC should be starting soon. They have covered their windows.

The old BMO is also being dismantled. Not sure what the plans are for that area of the mall. The dental office next to it is still in tact.

Re Concord, the construction of the Concord Brentwood towers is pretty quick vs TAB's. It's kinda amazing to see the development.
Those Concord building team/people seem to know what/how/when they're doing best. Very professional.

Hard to compare the two.

TAB had the largest excavation in Metro Van.

They also had to build 6 levels of parking and an entire mall before the towers went up. Very complicated build.

McDonalds has added signage! Also I saw at least two different groups yanking on the doors thinking it was open, Its gotta be opening very soon. It will also be open 24 hours. Despite the wet weather the plaza was pretty busy and the rest of the mall too had a lot of people walking around inside.

To clarify I meant construction of the towers. I'm aware of the scope of TAB but if strictly about tower construction speed, the Concorde ones' seems quicker was what I meant to convey. A neighbour noticed similarly as well. I live in Brentwood so I practically saw/see construction for both almost daily. Thus my reaction to the speed. The Concord ones seem more huge too.

Same here. I get this vibe when on the Skytrain as it approaches the Solo towers/Brentwood stop from the west side/Vancouver/Gilmore Station.

Thanks!

I see drill holes in the middle of each red spandrel panel
- so that's where the golden arches will be hung.

24 hours McD's seems like an odd choice. I can't imagine it being very busy after skytrain service ends for the evening, especially without a drive-thru. Though the residential so close by will probably offset that to some degree.

At least it's probably a safe area to go 24 hours. Is that big McDonalds still down the hill off Willingdon? Was it 24 hours? If so, maybe they are swapping the 24 hour ones.

This is easily the nicest and most modern Mc Donald's in the entire province. It will have its cleanliness maintained especially since it is in a mall setting. Definitely won't smell funky like the Granville Street or Main Street Station Mc Donald's.

Nice to have a business opened 24 hours a day, thus bringing a bit of life around-the-clock to Brentwood Town Centre.

Any 24hr McD that has it's doors open and not just a drive thru is an absolute mess afterhours, doesn't matter what location. Was blown away after stopping in at the Edmonds one a while back.

The UBC 24hr isn't that bad, even at 3AM. Just lots of drunk students. Cassiar McD's is the same without the drunk students.

Full disclosure, I may have spent most of the night in both.

Mc D's is a must have after a long night of drunken advetures! It's also the only pace anywhere you travel to in the world that you can assure you can get a bite to eat at 2:00AM. In a lot of ways having that Mc D's there makes the area that much more world class.

I think the Ms were up today.

I dropped by again, the plaza was full on busy, every table and wooden seating thing and the benches had people using them plus the 4 tables at starbucks outside had people. People are loving the plaza.

they have the Sephora Coming Soon up, I couldn't get a good angle due to people all over the place.

^That's good to hear.

They've managed to make the periphery of the mall attractive to pedestrians which is no small feat. I remember a few weeks ago in the evening seeing most of the tables being used along Willingdon.

Well~ finally done my walk-through after 4 years of waiting
Here's a video of what it looked like, though the spaces seem way smaller than what I had originally thought it would be
