Our first truly fall like day in my opinion. Went on a walk in some old-growth forest a little north of Cobourg. Couldn't get over the bird activity. The Merlin app picked up sound from these ones...

White-throated Sparrow, Blue Jay, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Hermit Thrush, Black-capped Chickadee, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Hairy Woodpecker, Yellow-rumped Warbler, American Crow, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, White-breasted Nuthatch.

Huge Oak tree

Driving home. Some showers over Lake Ontario

Super clear and sunny day, which made the 16 degrees high feel warmer. But, now it goes to shit for a few days before bouncing back. I wanted to go to Lakeland Go Karts with the kids last weekend in Hamilton Beaches, but ran out of time. So, with the nice weather, decided to try again. Turns out it's the last weekend ever of operation, which only became news a few days ago. It's been around for over 6 decades and it's most definitely not the nicest operation. Everything is very old. The sad thing is, tracks are gradually closing down just like 9 hole golf courses. Many of the indoor and outdoor tracks I raced at are now gone. Last year Centennial Mini Indy closed, and I went a few weeks beforehand. About 15 years ago I showed up for twlight rate at Ultimate Golf Centre in Vaughan and the girl told us we were the last players ever before it would get torn down and redeveloped.

Afterwards, went to Downtown Burlington and RIP to the big donut sign. I noticed it was gone. I asked they guy what happened. He said a windstorm took it out a couple of years ago. So, that would have been not long after I last visited. He said they're working with the city to bring it back.

They were taken at 9:30 in the morning. We were just passing through from Spain to Italy, and decided to check out Monaco along the way.

Another walk up the river and way more salmon this time around compared to 11 days ago. And more random piles of clothes at the encampment.

I saw two of the salmon still had full bellies and were dead. I squeezed out the eggs wondering if they could be saved, but they were yellow and no good. Should be orange.

Saw a small catfish upside down but moving. I righted him but it wasn't doing well.

Still more rain and sun. So unusual. Usually any form of precip is a whole of sky affair here.

^ Great photos, guys, quite the variety from Monaco to the wilds of Canada.

It was another nice day in Vancouver, I had to go to the Douglas Park area, also False Creek, and had time for a few photos.

Are we using YEG or Blatchford for Edmonton? Although I’m not sure Blatchford is still in use as an airport at all.

Using Blatchford for Edmonton, that is the official EC station.

10C and a mix of sun and clouds today. We have been paying for our wonderful September. Very crappy this past week.

Low of 5C this morning.

The warmspot was Lethbridge, AB at 26.5C

Warmest low was Tatlayoko Lake, BC at 14.2C

7C and rain in Moncton at 11 AM. May get up to 14C this afternoon with rain and thundershowers.

There is a risk of frost in Moncton on Thursday morning. EC is calling for an overnight low of 0C. If we survive, we will be fine for the remainder of the forecast period.

Mix of sun and cloud and 10 degrees at 1:30pm. Pretty much at peak fall colours here in St. John's now. Still plenty of maples that haven't started changing yet, but plenty of other trees are peaking, and high winds the past few days have taken leaves off some trees.

10-day forecast showing a possibility of freezing overnight temperatures next Saturday overnight, which would be around our average 1st freeze of the year.

Went for a walk to Bannerman Park with jeddy1989 to see the fall colours. Still a bit early.

Surprised Sherbooke froze before Montreal and QC given that's its more south. Less urban heat island and less water around, I suppose.
