Thanks for the photos! Have anything from the 70s or 80s?

By the way, it was Mike Harcourt who spoke at my campus about sustainable cities.

I'm liking shangri-la at night. looks very futuristic... mettalic-frame like. Makes me think "solid" whenever I look at it, while other buildings look like houses of cards.

I took this earlier in the week and it captures the peculiar low white autumnal light we get this time of year. For the uninitiated, Vancouver is located on Canada's West Coast in a temperate coastal rainforest climate. Because of this it is lush and green throughout the year and it rains or is overcast for a large portion of the winter months. As we move into this "rainy season" part of the year the light changes dramatically. It is often overcast or raining for much of the day but there are small windows of time around dusk when the sun falls below the level of the clouds and strikes the city horizontally with an intensely white light. I've tried to photograph this before without success but I feel I got it this time.

^Nice shot. I know what you mean about the light and it is pretty amazing. You usually have to be up pretty early to witness it.

I took these in the midst of a breathtaking, sudden fall sunset today. The light faded moments after I snapped the last photo. In order to capture the light I ran past the sales centre for the Olympic Village and there were people camped out in line in order to buy the condos and townhouses and they don’t even go on sale for five more days.
