What an amazing few days on this thread!

Three of the best skyline photos of their three respective cities that I have ever seen.

They all seem to capture the unique attributes / atmosphere that each city excels at.

Even though, Yonge-Collge and Yorkville are tall, and will be taller than the core soon enough, they just don't have the bulk to make their presence felt in these high aerial shots.

I don't like that last angle(picture) of Montreal, it makes it look small and very short.

Montreal's is, to me, the chameleon of Canadian skylines - short, tall, dense, sparse. Pick your angle and voila!

That's a really great shot of Halifax, that section looks to be very dense. I really like the mix of buildings from this angle as well!

Agreed, I like that shot of Halifax! Looks dense and good mix of buildings. Hopefully the city and area continue to grow and become more and more of an anchor for Atlantic region.

They are cut off. It's a picture taken with Le Plateau in the foreground. Downtown is on lower ground than the Plateau. It does create the illusion that the towers are slightly shorter than they really are. I think it's a great and unusual picture because of the angle, even if it somewhat undermines the downtown skyline.

It's definitely getting there, and the new buildings being built there now are a lot nicer than the new construction from 10+ years ago.

Unless something dramatic changes, there's another new crop of 3-4 major buildings that is coming for this area in the next couple of years. After that there won't be much land left for highrises in this part of downtown, but some new land will open up to the north as the Cogswl interchange gets torn down.
