Love that SF example. This topic comes up often, and it's important to note that Philly is really at the mercy of PennDOT for those kinds of interventions on state-owned roads (all of the ones you've mentioned, with the exception of Washington Ave.).

People need to start bothering their State Reps/Sentators/Governor's Office for these kinds of things to happen.

PennDOT requires its state routes to be paved with standard paving materials.
NO COBBLESTONE or any porous or traffic-calming pavements!
Like Penn Square should be treated the same as State Route in East Kabumfuck County.

Chestnut is a state route and is Belgium block from Front to 2nd and 6th to 7th. Market is a state route and has a brick median from 2nd to 5th with brick crosswalks. 5th street is a state route and has Belgium block from Walnut to Chestnut.

I know what you're saying but clearly there are exceptions and inconsistencies that allow for beautification which can and should be more widespread.

That's what I was told when I suggested a cobblestone intersection and porous traffic-calming pavements for crosswalks for S Broad

The glass on this and CHOP SARB are really great, nice and sharp reflections and color/contrast. I was watching the clouds roll past on both facades, it's really stunning

Despite them seemingly switching to flat panels for the curves from the original renders they still look really good.

I recall they adjusted the renderings to reflect this at some point, but yeah WOW this thing is so sick. I love it.

I will also add in the recent rendering where I saw that overhang, a site surveyor/carpenter told me that the overhang is enclosed space now, just like the early renderings. And I believe the pool is outside like The Josephine, to be located on the west side
