I noticed a number of crane sections in the area last night and today.

Daily Hive says the building has been named "Deloitte Summit":

There's a road closure for Saturday at 250 W Pender St. VCC but no idea what's happening there. I think 177 West Pender is starting construction soon as well.

Find it pretty disappointing how this dramatic expression stops 5 stories above the street on a mostly rectangular podium. The Georgia side is better, but I dont know why they couldn't make it relate more on this side too

Dramatic = no office floorspace

The podium is angled with open plaza to preserve views of Library Square.

The rendering in the Hive article shows the back - the flat wall abutts the former Ford Theatre.

This is the alley side and the blank wall abuts the theatre.

The Homer side has mostly open plaza.
Currently, there are 4 temporary support columns (the rusty ones) that will be removed once the structure above becomes self-supporting.

The columns circled in orange will eventually be removed.
Though the one on the far right might be in the render above(?), which would be unfortunate.

I think this opening is for a glass floor.
... and the connection on the top of that post (on the right) doesn't look permanent, so that corner cube will be cantilevered out A LOT.

Great updates. Couldn't be more pleased with something this radically different going up in Vancouver. That intersection of Georgia and Homer is going to have some of the most diverse architecture in the city: the Library, "Deloitte Summit", The Post, and the refreshed office building on the other corner. Step it back to the end of each respective block and one adds a large urban theatre (currently a church) and a hotel, an office tower as part of Library Square, the full-block beast of The Post, the new Amazon office building at Homer and Pender, some smaller-scale retail-office buildings on Georgia, and the Telus HQ. Pretty neat.
