Niagara Region growth

some observations:
- Thorold, which used to be the size of Port Colborne has now leapfrogged both Lincoln and Grimbsy (and will no doubt IMHO become bigger than Fort Erie for the 4th largest city in Niagara Region).
- Niagara Falls has seen impressive growth
- St. Catharines is running out of developable land, but infill is occurring throughout the city. Downtown just saw an 18 storey apartment highrise completed
- Welland, which seemed perpetually around 45-50k population is growing far quicker than anyone could have imagined. Subdivisions in every quadrant of the city, mostly SFH and townhouse development with some low-midrise apartments here and there. K-8 schools have added additions to keep up with demand as new schools are in the works.
