Yep, Ashcroft's has been dismantled for a "little while". I'm not sure about Claridge Timberwalk on Maritime Way in Kanata. And CH's Hunt Club RC will be up in a month or so, once they get the site excavated.

There's 2 on Scott: #3 and #6 on the list above.

Tamarack Wellington is #9 on the list. It has 1 crane, and only 1 building being built at the moment. The other is done. There's 1 crane up.

Don't know how I missed Tamarack Wellington. For Scott, I was thinking more in the Westboro area. I thought I saw two excavations a few months ago; figured they'd be two cranes by now.

It's a new condo project at Charles Bagot. Can't remember the name of it, but it is pretty substantial. Drove by there last week and there was a gigantic hole in the ground (it was a former parking lot).

Yep, all Kanata cranes are gone. At least Kanata is getting a decent mass-up of buildings near its town centre, though unsurprisingly, the Claridge building is the ugliest of the bunch.

I guess there are two projects in the area. One is the condo building right on Montcalm between Gagnon and Charles-Bagot.

The other is one block behind inside the neighbourhood. That will be the artists' co-op.

Cool to see some movement in that part of Hull.

There is also a crane I've noticed at the top end of Boul. Mont-Bleu in Hull. It's on the site of the HQ (centre diocésain) for the Catholic church in Gatineau.

This is a fairly up to date street view so the site prep had already started:

After searching a bit I have found it's actually a new convent:

These nuns I believe are "cloistered", in that they almost never go out nor do they speak. Their old convent is on Laurier towards the east end of Jacques-Cartier Park. I believe it was recently sold to a developer(?).

When Pope John Paul II visited in 1984, he paid them a special personal visit IIRC.

this is off-topic, but it seems a bunch of the gatineau people are monitoring this thread so i thought i'd ask.

I can see a lit cross at night somewhere in Gatineau, west of Hull, from my windows at Bronson and Queen/Sparks. From the top of the escarpment/the old Bronson estate.

Does anyone know where this cross is? I cant see it during daylight. You should be able to see it from around the portage bridge or the garden of the provinces and territories at night.
