So what's happening with the proposed condo on Bellamy Hill north of 99 Ave, next door to Edmonton House?

Watching that old 737 take off was quite nostalgic; now looking forward to what's coming next...

City Centre Airport grounded for good
With CF-18s out of action due to weather, helicopters mark closure

Marta Gold
Edmonton Journal

Monday, December 02, 2013

It wasn't the thunder of CF-18 jets, but rather the hum of hovering helicopters that closed down the City Centre Airport Saturday afternoon, just before twilight hit at 4:49 p.m. and the runway lights were turned off for good.

The planned flypast and touch-and-go-landing by the two jets from 409 Squadron out of 4 Wing Cold Lake was cancelled because of the weather, said city spokesperson Jodi Tauber, leaving a handful of small private and commercial planes to be the last to use the runway...

I thought I saw a fighter fly over downtown around noon on Saturday as one of the plains departing Blatchford. Am I correct?

At around 4:30pm, three large helicopters that are working on the transmission line east of town flow low over the north central to Blatchford . They shook the house pretty good.

was out at the Toyota dealer in Sherwood Park earlier that day & was watching them rig the power lines with the helicopters. Quite impressive

Does this include a tower? Thought I remember something about a condo being apart of this development.

St. Joseph's College Women's Residence
St Joseph’s College is an affiliated Catholic College located at the University of Alberta, offering three services to students: academics, campus ministry and a student residence. Currently, St. Joseph’s College offers housing to 64 male students in an all-male residence, and 14 women in a separate residence, both of which are located in the heart of the campus.

The residence expansion project aims to introduce 282 beds to the University of Alberta’s on-campus housing inventory in an all-female residence. The new residence will operate in a collaborative manner with the rest of the university’s residence system, as an extension of SJC.

Students who reside in purpose-built, on-campus housing with supportive programming tend to have a more fulfilling and enriching academic experience at university than those who do not.

The new residence will be open to all female students attending the university.
