A giant gathering place for hockey-mad fans is planned for the upcoming Winter Olympics.
The 80,000-square-foot facility will be at Concord Canada Place, by Pacific Boulevard and a short walk from GM Place, the venue for the hockey games being played by the world's best players.
Official Olympic brewers Molson, Hockey Canada and the International Ice Hockey Federation are co-sponsors of the giant hospitality complex.
The National Hockey League and the NHL Players Association could also be involved.
VisionCo. is handling the marketing of the complex that could see upwards of 4,000 hockey fans a day.
VisionCo. spokeswoman Marsha Mowers said details are being finalized.
The facility will have events before and after the Olympic hockey games.
"It is going to be a great place to live the Olympic experience," she said.
Full details are to be released next week, she said.
The hospitality venue, like many others being planned, will get a special temporary liquor licence. The permit will allow children to be inside the sponsor's licensed hospitality suites.
