Hello everyone. I drew the diagram of Tour Phare.
First of all, thanks to Metropolitan for taking my defense and excuse me for my English...
I think that Metropolitan has summarized the situation well.

I admit to having copied, initially, my first diagram. As a beginner, I didn't know if I had the right. But, as my first diagram was deleted for plagiarism, I decided to draw a second diagram for this tower. ( I can not support that this great project for la Défense doesn't have a diagram on this website )

To draw the second, I decided to take the same point of view because it is that which seemed to me most representative. But I didn't copy the rendering! I was simply inspired by it, is that prohibited?

I will try to explain how I drew the diagram;
To form the total shape of the tower, I had to print the renderings, and I traced with a pencil, the shape that I want, to work afterward on the computer (sorry for my old methods but I am a beginner on the drafting programs) here's my starting drawing with the pencil:



It is as at this time as I made an average for the height of the stages (you can see 3 mm on paper but I then scaled the drawing to 750 pixels at the beginning of my work on computer)

Then, for the details on the ground and on the top, I used photographs of the model of the building which were exposed in Paris.





I looked at returned then well, to represent with precise details the beams of the structure on my drawing. In the same way for the colours.



The software which I used is Paint, Paint.net and Paint shop pro for the illumination at the end.
For that, I asked someone in my family to help me to give more depth to the rendering through the use of lighting.




I displayed my progress on the diagram on a French forum, and Metropolitan, which had already given me some advice.

I hope that I succeeded in convincing you of my honesty. I hope to be able to see my diagram on your site again in the future.

JBC62: Did you trace over the rendering?

Please remember that many of us are skilled illustrators. Upon further examination and manipulation of the original rendering image in comparison with your illustrations I would still have to agree with Jonny5 that tracing is an issue here.

This is why, I will understand if my diagram remains removed.
However, I would like to say that for a majority of parts, I entirely made the drawing.

Looking at everything JBCousin62 has said in this thread I think the drawing should allowed.
I only had the smaller scale drawings available to me when I was approving and this drawing did look very close to the original rendering you uploaded.

It's been a week now that Mkmillenium asked his question and apparently no one answered. I would be very happy to get some news about it. Are there any discussion or not to bring it back ?

If you want to know why your drawings were deleted, you can go to your "My Account" page, then go to your Drawings Page.


On The top there should be a link called Deleted Drawings. It's ll there. Click on your building's Name and you can see the comments why it was deleted.

Is the opinion still the same on the drawing? It was recently resubmitted.
