But it's coming at the cost of much needed down escalators. Street to Ticket level and inbound to outbound. Those 2 escalators alone would drastically improve accessability.

I'm so glad I live here in BC where we can take basic maintenance pretty much for granted, compared to some other places (cough-Montreal-cough) where you have to worry about concrete slabs falling from sports stadiums and tunnels.

I gave up on that video after 20 seconds. That guy really needs to learn how to hold a camera steady.

I'm amazed they built it with short platforms once again, but at least Richmond has the money to create a new station with the amazing amount of density going into one small but new area.

This is from sept 2021. Has something changed?

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/caps...groundbreaking

"Capstan Station’s design is a significant improvement from other Canada Line stations, including more distinct architecture, both up and down escalators, a larger concourse, longer platforms reaching 52.5 metres to accommodate future three-car trains (as opposed to most Canada Line platforms being 40 metres), wider platforms for more waiting and circulation spaces, retail space, and public art."

No nothing's changed. Vin's just wrong. Nothing's changed there, either.

80 metres or bust!

(and even 80 metres would be considered "short" by TTC standards...)

They look very similar, however now they should be enclosed on sides with a glass or some other material and have a roof

Seems like the new escalators are for the mezzanine up to the platform?

I have to assume that the inevitable development on the south side of Lougheed should have integration the same way TAB does on the north side.
