Cladding no matter how nice does nothing to improve the street feel. It is a block long blank wall, on a corner no less.

Base of the tower is massive.

This area has changed a lot since Subway 7 opened. Now the station spills out hundreds of people.

I have never seen that place so crowded and I have been visiting this area for years now.

That was never there.

...and forget about driving there.

looks like we have gained a floor. Also looks like 30 Hudson has gained 2 floors since the last pic I saw and the mall is starting to get its roof.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has signed a letter of intent to occupy a large chunk of space at 55 Hudson Yards, the Far West Side office tower that developers Related Companies, Oxford Property Group and Mitsui Fudosan America have been courting to law firms.

The white-shoe law firm is planning to take 250,000 square feet across nine floors of the 1.3-million-square-foot office tower at the corner of West 33rd Street and 11th Avenue, according to a press release from the building’s developers. A deal should be finalized by the end of this summer.

This is much better than I expected! I really like how deep the separations in the cladding go!

Jesus, Hudson Yards is incredible. I can't wait to see it all completed, it will be like a futuristic version of Mid-town. It puts the 1970s World Trade Center development to shame with it's massive scale.

^ whats puts it in the incredible category for me isn't even the visible size or styles of the towers, the mall or the park areas.

its that its built right over a massive, active railyard.

especially when you walk by and watch them in action, it just drops your jaw how complicated and expensive it all is.
that midtown land is so valuable that anyone would even think to consider doing this.
