A mix of outdoor and indoor mall is probably ideal for Vancouver weather. Mild enough for outdoor even in winter; wet enough that people want to be inside.
Go go go ..... Shape development leadership:cheers

Taiwanese? Don't you mean Chinese? *cough* Miniso *cough*

And it's the pPhone, not the J-Phone! I personally am very excited for the "Grand Honour Plus" model with a random smiling woman with suspiciously glowy skin on the box... but I digress

I wonder if Primark will open there as they are expected to open in Canada soon, or most likely Toronto but we can dream.

The Amazing Brentwood has this on their overview leasing section, so is Q3 autumn?

The high end stores are planned to go inside at phase 3 once the old mall is done, wasn't that the plan?

Originally, but I suspect that the high end stores will now be in Phase 2 (north end) based on
the shift of the department store (and valet parking lobby) from Phase 3 (south end) to Phase 2 (north end).
The Phase 3 anchors are labelled (top floor to basement): Anchor/Food Hall; Fashion Anchor and Anchor.
Doubt a food hall would be in the high end wing.

My mid term report card for AMB:
10 for vision , planning , leadership. In fact vision so good that vitalize the whole
Brentwood area. Benefited every other developer who hurry up and build in the Neighbour. hood.
4 for execution because of multiple delays, lack of clarity in the confirmed retailers, focus too much on becoming a high end mall , and yet to accommodate for middle class living. I have no doubt that Brentwood will become the Oakridge equivalent in Brentwood, but I sense a lot of interim changes cause unnecessary delays.
It not benefitting Shape either. Market is cooling,by the time they are ready to sell T5 , market already cooled .

I agree. What an awesome plan and vision, but when it comes to execution, I believe they may be a bit in over their heads. They've had no residential building experience before this project, let alone megatowers.

I do believe the mall portion will be excellent once it opens as their track record for malls is pretty good. The only other Shape built mall I've been to is Uptown in Victoria and it's quite nice.

The rest remains to be seen I guess.

Any ideas when the shortcut from the station to the mall will open? It's annoying having to walk all the way up the hill.

My feetsies are delicate some days :p

Sometimes my reflection thinks so, but then I talk some sense into it

I just wanted to put a little humour into my whining about the walk

I would think it will open when the mall itself is ready.
